Ellisville Rocks
Where Did You Find a Rock?: Inspiration GardenWhere? (Location): Ellisville Ma in Plymouth at Bayside beach How Did You Hear About The Kindness Rocks Project?: I found out about the Kindness Rocks Project this summer. I live in Plymouth, Ma. and decided to take my puppy Bentley for a walk at the Beach. I headed to Ellisvilles Bayside Beach, upon entering the beach, I saw a rock garden. I felt so much happiness reading all the rocks left by caring people, that I knew right away I'd be painting a rock and returning to this very spot to drop my rock. Once I saw the rock garden, I knew who I was painting my rock for and why. I lost my best friend September 3, 2015 from ovarian cancer, Jill had been diagnosed just three years prior with stage 3 ovarian cancer. Jill passed away on her 39th birthday. I thought if I painted my rock in honor of Jill and ovarian cancer, I could maybe brighten someone's day, the way the Rock garden inspired me, the day I walked up to it this summer. After painting my rock a friend shared the Kindness Rock Project video to me from YouTube. Watching the video made me feel more happiness. What inspired you to contact/join TKRP?: I watched the news video yesterday after seeing it on Facebook, and wanted to tell my story, as too how the project moved me personally. What was your initial reaction or impression when you stumbled upon the rock?: I felt such happiness and inspiration when I walked up to the rock garden. I was amazed at the beautiful rocks, that I felt impelled to paint a rock and bring it back in honor of the loss of my best friend to ovarian cancer, in hopes that my rock could help someone else. What did the rock have written on it? : Hope with a cancer ribbon
